One of the important roles Tim presently offers is support and advice centred on the changes currently being made to the benefit system as a whole. For example, those in receipt of Income Support and Incapacity Benefit will eventually be reassessed and moved to the new Employment and Support Allowance.
Who’s Who at Terrence Higgins Trust, Brighton
Sometimes it is easy to forget how lucky we are to have so many servicers dedicated to the LGBT community. Many of the organisations are run by a dedicated group of paid workers and volunteers. As part of an ongoing project for Zhoosh, I will be visiting various LGBT groups, introducing who’s who, exploring what servicers they offer and perhaps inspire you to get involved either as a participant or volunteer.
Lesbian Art Group Receives Funding for Creative Workshops
The Dyke Modern in association with Brighton & Hove City Council presents Inner and Outer Landscapes. Four creative low-cost workshops for lesbians at Friends’ Centre, Ship Street, Brighton, and Cornerstone Community Centre, Church Road, Hove.
Trans Photo Exhibition. Volunteers Wanted
This will be the first photo exhibition in Sussex which is focused purely on the transexual community in the UK. Jane is looking for at least 10 transmen and 10 transwomen to model. All final prints are approved by you before being exhibited and they will be photos you’ll want people to see!
