By ‘eck! The queers are comin’!!
Brian Sewell, the vituperative viper over at the Daily Hate, has spewed forth a torrent of venom, prejudice, loathing and fear, in the guise of a reasoned plea for decency.
The whole gamut of sexualities and gender identities summed up as quirks. Or fetishes. It’s blatant homophobia, dehumanising and ghettoising. It shouldn’t be allowed.
You. Utter. Bastard.
The lies which make up THIS blog breed doubt in any others of similar nature. The next time we read an apparently earnest, heartfelt cry for help from an LGBTQ person in such a regime, we will hesitate and wonder. And apathy will be more likely.
Apathy, the enemy of any advances in these states.
No, don’t misunderstand ….
while we’re oh-so piously pursuing our post-colonial lips at the terrible events in Uganda – and please don’t misunderstand me, they are terrible, and we must do all we can to stop them – let’s not forget that we don’t live in some utopian land of plenty. There are plenty of people here who hate us, and certainly enough who’d happily bludgeon us to a slow, painful, bloody death with a hammer given the chance.
