Comedienne Yvonne Rawcliffe compering @Women’s Tent Brighton Pride
Yvonne Rawcliffe is an up and coming comedienne from ‘ooop north’ (Blackpool to be precise). Having played many a gig in London town and Brighton, she has now been snapped up to compere at Brighton Pride by the Women’s Tent. Je ‘Mappelle Hope at the Marlborough Theatre
I have to say, Miss Hope Springs isnt what I’d usually choose to see, but I really enjoyed myself. The catchy, clever songs have constantly whirled around my head since hearing them. A personal favourite ‘Jean-Jacques;’ amusingly describes how she hopes to kill her lover after she finds him with another woman, and another ‘assets’ ponders the importance of making the most of yourself.
Bent Double at Komedia- Gay Friendly Comedy Night
The one thing that really stands out about Bent Double is the fact that its a nice place for queer folk to gather. With a reasonably priced bar and the fact you share tables if you are by yourself or in a small group; makes it a great place to be out on the pull. Alcohol and laughter is surely the biggest recipe there is for romantic success right?
